Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data (SRIBD) was established in March 2016 with the support of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government as a Category II public institution. It grew out of the Big Data Information Processing and Applications Innovation Team led by Academician Zhi-Quan Luo, Vice President of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. In 2019, SRIBD was formally designated as one of Shenzhen’s basic research institutions.
SRIBD focuses on networked systems optimization, large AI models, and optimization and engineering computation, translating research into industrial applications.
ZONSON is a majority-controlled commercialization entity of SRIBD. Its responsibilities include bringing the institute’s research to market, coordinating commercial projects, and supporting project investment and operations.
